Qualifications and Registration:

.- Bachelor of Counselling (BCoun), University of New England.

 - Member of Australia Counselling Association (M.A.C.A Level 2)

 - Registered with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to provide Therapeutic Supports

Work History:

​

• 2 years Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) -working within a transdisciplinary team with children and young people with disabilities.

• 10 years working with vulnerable children and their families.

• 12 years working with children and adults with significant and diverse disabilities and complex needs.

• 7 years working with disadvantaged and homeless youth, with complex needs.

Parents as teachers, Child Development, Zones of Regulation, Child Protection, Out of Home Care, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Attachment Disorders, Dysfunctional Behaviours, Behavioural Intervention, Behaviour Management, Cycle of Strength- understanding patterns of behaviour, Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Co-dependency, Suicide prevention, Anaphylactic, Sexual Abuse, Dealing with Challenging Situations, Dysfunctional Behaviours, Auslan, Family and Safety Centred Practice, Identifying and Responding to Risk of Harm (ROSH), Children/Young People and Developmental Trauma, Safety Risk and Risk Assessments, Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, Department of Education Mandatory training.

With your consent I work collaboratively with other agencies, pre-schools and schools.

 

Working collaboratively with other Allied Health Professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Clinicians and Psychologist's to support families to implement therapy plans and strategies within the home as part of their daily routines.
